Engelska Skolan Norr – Proud to be a Cambridge Associate School 

In 2024, Engelska Skolan Norr proudly became a certified Cambridge Associate School, marking an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to academic excellence and international education. 

The following year, in 2025, our students undertook their very first Cambridge IGCSE examinations in English as a Second Language and Mathematics. We are delighted to announce that every student achieved success, with an impressive 34% of all grades awarded at A or A* level. The majority of our Year 9 students rose to this challenge by completing one or both examinations, demonstrating remarkable determination, resilience, and achievement. 

We were also delighted to welcome external candidates from other schools, all of whom achieved a 100% pass rate. This outstanding success highlights not only the dedication of the students but also the exceptional standards of teaching and learning at Engelska Skolan Norr. 

Looking ahead, our academic opportunities will continue to grow. From 2025, students at Engelska Skolan Norr will be able to study IGCSE courses in English as a Second Language, Mathematics, and English Literature. In addition, we are proud to serve as an examination centre for external candidates, with several schools already confirmed to have their students sit IGCSE examinations with us during the Spring Term of 2026.

At Engelska Skolan Norr, we are proud to prepare our students for the future with Cambridge qualifications that open doors worldwide. Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Levels are recognised by leading universities as equivalent to UK GCSE and A Level qualifications. 

An independent study by UK NARIC, the UK’s national agency for the recognition and comparison of international qualifications, has confirmed that Cambridge qualifications match the gold standard of UK education. Cambridge International AS & A Levels are taken by students across the globe and are widely regarded as an excellent foundation for higher education. Impressively, 95% of students who complete these qualifications progress directly to university.
